My Story
Hi there! I am so glad you're here. Thanks for taking the time to explore this website and to learn more about the services I offer.
My hope is to offer a safe place where each individual can explore their needs and learn new ways of achieving their goals. Using positive psychology, I rely on client strengths, resilience, and aspects of what's already working to develop a healthy plan of coping.
From early on, I took interest in observing the natural world around me. I soon realized that when people feel connected to themselves, their community, and the natural environment, they are more able to cope with day to day stressors and lead happier lives.

I received my undergraduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu. During my undergraduate studies, I worked with various aged children at a Child Development Center. I received my Masters of Counseling from University of Phoenix, San Diego campus. During my graduate studies, I worked full time at a Family Counseling Center aboard Marine Corps Base Miramar. There, I served as a Victim Advocate and later as a family and couples therapist. After moving to southern Oregon in 2006, I worked at various non-profit agencies with families, couples, and children.
Aside from traditional talk therapy, I also utilize Art Therapy, Mindfulness training, CBT, and Collaborative Problem Solving. My experience is in areas of Anxiety, Depression, Emotion Regulation, Family conflict, Grief/Loss, Life transitions, Parenting Support, Problems in Relationships, Problems at Work or School, Self-Esteem, and Stress.
